Red Blend
Our first iteration of Exit West is our guidebook for our winemaking identity. A wine that will deliver on all levels at a price that is practical for regular consumption. We choose only the best blocks from our Estate to craft our annual blend. Attention to detail and diligent farming practices allow us to monitor the rugged, sometimes volatile, and high elevation landscape. Giving character and personality to each vintage. With Exit West white label our goal is to curate a wine with depth, finesse, and a powerful expression of the landscape it’s grown in. At a retail price of $40, our hope is to bring the highest standards to an everyday wine.
SAUVIGNON BLANC
We are thrilled to present our inaugural release from our Estate Vineyard in the Big Valley District. For this special release, we have carefully chosen two exceptional blocks of old vine Sauvignon Blanc, which were planted in the late 1980’s. These mature vines, with their low yields, impart a level of intensity and complexity that younger vineyards simply cannot match. With each vintage, we continue to discover the unique character of this maturing vineyard site. Our highly anticipated 2023 Exit west Sauvignon Blanc will be available for purchase in April 2024, priced at $35 per bottle. To ensure a bright, clean, and perfectly balanced wine, we ferment and age it exclusively in our custom concrete eggs. We are excited to share this exceptional with you.
MOUNT COLLECTION - 2 WINES
Mount Family Ranch
As with all things, some stand out among the rest. Our Mount Family Ranch expression is the culmination of all things Red Hills. Simply put, this is our heart and soul in a bottle. We limit this production to 150 cases (6 barrels) or less annually and only allow for the highest quality fruit to be chosen. Once fermentation is completed, each block is identified and tasted for complexity, depth and potential. These new French Oak barrels are then given a preliminary score and monitored over the next 6 months until they secure their final blending place. Once identified, the rigorous blending process begins. Our goal is to handcraft the best wine from our Estate without sacrifice.
All modern winemaking techniques are utilized, with the right dash of winemaker intuition, to ensure a wine that would make any collector proud, age gracefully, and stay true to our hillside identity. This limited production wine is sold exclusively through our allocation in 3pk at $375/pk. Join us as the Red Hills of the Mayacamas range begins to heavily impact west coast winemaking. PHELAN RANCH
The hillsides of Napa Valley produced world-class wines on a regular basis. Whether we choose from the Westerly Mayacamas range or the Eastern Vaca range, wines are structured, complex, and command attention. After a lengthy search for a vineyard site that fit our detailed criteria and wasn’t so commonplace, we discovered Phelan Ranch on Greeg Mountain in the Vaca Range.
Slightly north of Pritchard Hill, the wines here have unique character at 1800ft elevation. The Mount Collection Napa expression sees the same rigorous winemaking techniques as the Mount Family Ranch Red Hills, but with a personality all its own. Limited to only 75 cases annually, the list of producers from this hidden gem is growing, Thomas Rivers Brown & Russell Bevan, just to name a few. We are in good company and see serious potential in this newly identified vineyard site. Limited to allocation members and sold in 3pk for $495/pk, we think this site is the perfect complement to show the diversity of the west coast wine regions.
